About the Program Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) is a Federal program that provides significant funding for housing and community development activities. The City of DeKalb 5-year goals and activities for the grant are included in the Consolidated Plan. The Annual Action Plan provides the 1-year budget and goals. An evaluation of the City’s performance toward meeting those goals is included in the Comprehensive Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER).

The City Council will hold a Public Hearing at 6:00 PM on Monday, February 8, 2016 at the City Council Chambers at DeKalb Municipal Building, 200 S. Fourth Street. City Funding & Support
The City of DeKalb works with residents, community leaders, and social services agencies to provide a consistently high quality of life for all citizens of DeKalb. In order to accomplish this goal, the City provides a variety of programs funded through CDBG Program, Tax Increment Financing, and other sources.
Neighborhood Support Programs
The City also works with residents to improve individual neighborhoods by creating and implementing plans for neighborhood revitalization and providing neighborhood support programs.
