  1. Advisory Commission on Disabilities

    The objective of the Advisory Commission on Disabilities is to conduct a self-evaluation of all services, activities, policies, and procedures in the City of DeKalb to ensure that these practices are not discriminatory in any manner to persons with disabilities.

  5. Citizen's Community Enhancement Commission

    The Citizen's Community Enhancement Commission develops a long-range plan identifying problem areas in the City's image, coordinates a biannual survey program, and oversees projects geared toward improving the appearance of the City.

  6. Citizen Environmental Commission

    The Environmental Commission shall examine, study and identify issues related to the environment and regularly report on same to the City Council.

  7. City Council

    The City of DeKalb is governed by a City Council consisting of the Mayor who is elected from the City at large and 7 aldermen elected on a ward basis.

  8. Design Review Committee

    The Design Review Committee was created to assure the compatibility of new construction with the character of the City’s residential neighborhoods.
