Alderman Mike Verbic and Alderman Anthony Faivre invite Sixth and Seventh Ward residents to an informational meeting on Monday, February 19, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The meeting will be held at the DeKalb Police Department, 700 West Lincoln Highway, in the second-floor Community Room.
At the meeting, Police Chief Gene Lowery will discuss the proposed second phase of the Safe Streets Initiative. This proposal would implement additional parking restrictions in certain areas of the City. In December, City Council approved the first phase of the proposed four-phase Safe Streets Initiative. Alderman Verbic, Alderman Faivre, and Chief Lowery will answer questions and accept feedback on the Safe Streets Initiative, as well as other concerns of residents attending the meeting.
This meeting is open to the public. Residents who are not able to attend the meeting are encouraged to visit http://cityofdekalb.com/1110/Safe-Streets-Initiative to learn more about the Safe Streets Initiative.
