  1. MLK Jr. Day Activities with NIU

    There is no school on the 15th, so celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day at the DeKalb Public Library! NIU’s Center for Black Studies is teaming up with the DeKalb Public Library to provide a variety of craft activities. Children and their caregivers are encouraged to drop in at any time to visit each activity station, using their creativity to make each craft unique!     Join the Pokémon League! Everyone is welcome to attend this program, run by the Gaming Goat, where you can learn how to play Pokémon, and then participate in the game.   4. Advanced TinkerCad: Design a Winter Bird Feeder

    Winter is a challenging time of year for our feathered friends, so we’re going to learn to use the 3D design software TinkerCAD and 3D printing to fashion them small feeders. Once you’ve designed your feeder, we’ll print it out for you to pick up in a couple of days! This class and the accompanying 3D print is completely free! We do ask that participants be at least 8 years old, and have basic computer skills. No experience with 3D design or printing is required. Sign up begins 15 minutes before class in the Nancy D.
