  1. Little Learners & Craft

    This story time program is geared towards children, ages 2-5, and caregivers. Music, finger plays, puppets, and books are woven into this week’s theme, Dr. Seuss.   2. Book Babies Lap-sit Program

    This lap-sit program is geared towards infants, ages 0-24 months. Babies will learn music, movements, and stories. This will be followed by play time with developmental toys and a chance to interact with the babies and other caregivers. No sign-up is necessary.   3. Scavenged Art

    In the 1950s and 1960s, James Hampton, created beautiful art from recycled materials. His most famous work, The Throne of the Third Heaven of the Nations’ Millennium General Assembly, is now in the Smithsonian American Art Museum. In honor of him and Black History Month, we’ll be making our own scavenged art today! We’ll have the scavenged materials, so bring your creativity and vision!     Join other area tweens and teens in writing your very own, self-created magazine! Either bring in already started stories, poems, comic strips, drawings, jokes, and news articles, or start something new at the library. The library will provide computers to work on.
