Municipal Ordinance Violations

The City of DeKalb’s Administrative Hearing Process covers a wide range of cases involving violations of municipal ordinances. An Administrative Hearing is a civil action, not a criminal proceeding. Cases filed in Administrative Hearings are punishable by fines and a variety of other penalties, excluding jail time.


Administrative Hearing Officer

The Administrative Hearing Officer who hears cases is an experienced attorney who is required to undergo State-mandated training to be professional, fair, and courteous.

  • Fire Code Violations
  • Ordinance Violations
  • Parking Ticket Violations
  • Property Maintenance Violations
