The City of DeKalb Police Department is launching a crime prevention initiative. The DeKalb Police Department created a brief public service announcement in an effort to reduce burglaries to motor vehicles. We encourage residents to keep valuables out of their vehicle. If valuables are kept in a vehicle, keep them out of plain view. Lock your vehicle at all times and park in a well-lit area if possible. Please see the attached public service announcement, “Lock It or Lose It.” We encourage all residents to report suspicious people, vehicles, and activities in the neighborhood because safe neighborhoods are everyone’s business.
