A Request for Proposals (RFP) has been released for Refuse, Recyclables and Yard Waste Collection Services in the City of DeKalb.

The City wishes to provide residents with comprehensive and high-quality services and intends to enter into a waste disposal contract for single family residential collection, multi-family residential collection (four units or less), attached townhomes (not apartment complexes), the Central Business District, and City-owned facilities in DeKalb. The contract term will be five years beginning Sept. 1, 2023.

The City will host a mandatory pre-proposal meeting for interested bidders on Friday, March 31, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., in the City’s Utility Building conference room at 1216 Market Street, DeKalb, Illinois.

All proposals must be received in the City Manager’s Office no later than 2:00 p.m. on April 26, 2023.
