Guest and Visitors

Guest passes can be purchased at the DeKalb Police Station 24/7. Guest passes are $5 per day, with a maximum length of three days. Guest passes are intended for people visiting, spending the night or weekend and similar situations. Vehicle information of the guest vehicle is needed in order to purchase the pass.

The Police Department can grant temporary waivers for occasional events like book clubs, boy scout meetings, and similar activities. These events are usually only for a few hours during the day and will be assessed based on the availability of parking, the population density of the area, and the crime statistics in the area.  If you have an event that might qualify for a temporary waiver, the City would advise you to call the Police Department at 815-748-8400, option 1.
