The City of DeKalb Transit has partnered with Token Transit to provide the riders of the City of DeKalb Transit / Huskie Line to utilize their smart phones to purchase fares and save the ride(s) until they board the bus.   It’s as simple as   

Buy.  Activate.   Ride.

The application can be downloaded at the Apple app store or Google play store or the Token Transit website located here https://tokentransit.com.  The City of DeKalb offers multiple options for transit fare passes.  Starting today you can purchase the following

• 1-ride pass that is good for two hours from the time of activation with unlimited rides for 2 hours.
• 1-day pass that is good for 24 hours from the time of activation with unlimited rides for 24 hours
• 7-day pass that is good for 7 days from the time of activation with unlimited rides for 7 days
• 30-day pass that is good for 30 days from the time of activation with unlimited rides for 30 days

You can purchase multiple passes and store them on your phone until you need to activate them to ride the bus.  Then it’s as simple as showing the driver your phone screen and they will verify that the time on the pass is the actual time, the expiration date/time of the pass and that the screen is active.  

Passes that are purchased for other systems using Token Transit cannot be used on the City of DeKalb Transit system.
