The annual budget defines how the City allocates its resources to achieve what is important to the community, and communicates to stakeholders what services they can expect and how their tax dollars with be spent. Over the six-month budget process, City Manager's Office, City Departments, City Council, Finance Advisory Committee and community members develop a financial plan to achieve the City's goal in the most efficient way possible. After its adoption, the budget guides guides the City's operation for the year.
The audit is an annual review of the City’s financial records and statements by an independent team of certified public accountants to make sure the city is managing public funds properly and its financial statements are accurate. The results help City leaders, residents, and investors trust that the city is being transparent and financially sound.
