[ARCHIVED] Fire Hydrant Maintenance Planned

A sign reads

The Utility Department, in conjunction with the Fire Department, will be performing hydrant operation and maintenance of all City fire hydrants. The work ensures that the fire hydrants will functioning properly when called upon in times of emergency.  As part of the testing, a small volume of water will be flowed from each hydrant. This may temporarily cause a slight discoloration to the water but should clear quickly.

If you have any questions, please call the City’s Utility Department at 815-748-2050.

The yellow highlighted areas on the map are where work will begin initially.
